The Ministry of Social Solidarity has announced the launch of the first phase of its digital services system for kafala families and care institutions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through the Social Care Services Platform on the Ministry’s digital portal.
This step comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts toward digital transformation and improving the services provided to citizens, with the aim of making procedures easier and providing kafala families and beneficiaries with a clearer and more efficient experience.
The new system is the first fully integrated digital system designed to automate Kafala procedures and related services.
Through the platform, citizens can submit their applications electronically and track them throughout the different stages, starting with screening, review, and data verification, through integration with relevant authorities, until the completion of procedures and the final decision.
This helps reduce paperwork, improve transparency, and speed up the processing of applications.
Digital transformation is not only about submitting an application online. It also involves redesigning and streamlining procedures and turning them into connected digital services.
The system also includes electronic integration with several government entities, allowing data to be exchanged and information to be verified digitally, reducing the need for paper documents.
In addition, the platform is connected to the national digital identity system, allowing citizens to access the platform securely.
The new system contributes to:
Standardizing procedures related to Kafala services.
Making it easier to submit and track applications electronically.
Improving data accuracy and verification.
Reducing reliance on paper documents and manual procedures.
Enhancing application follow-up.
Improving the quality of services provided to kafala families and care institutions.
Providing data that supports more accurate decision-making.
The launch of the first phase of the digital system represents an important step in developing Kafala and social care services. It helps make procedures more organized and transparent, while paving the way for a more integrated digital system that responds to the needs of families and beneficiaries.
Most importantly, digital transformation can help create a smoother experience for families throughout their Kafala journey by reducing administrative complexities, improving access to information, and making it easier to follow up on applications and procedures.
The first phase is only the beginning of a broader digital transformation, with plans to expand the system in the coming period and introduce additional digital services as part of the Social Care Services Platform.
This reflects the continued cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to develop services and improve the efficiency of the social care system.
Because strengthening the Kafala system is not only about supporting families and children it also starts with making the journey itself easier.
